I love it makes you think about just how much we have polluted our rivers and our lakes..... not to mention our oceans.
the only thing I would have done differently would be to put a "Swim at your own risk" sign somewhere in there....to kind of point out that in some of the nicest places .... well you get the picture.

Your sign idea is very good! Maybe i make these peaces forward in the future and try to add sign in this one..
In start I though I'm going to make this over a week and add something new, when new ideas came up. But i wanted to print this already after few days working
Maybe I make wallpaper version of this idea in future.
also it just came to me ... I would think a couple standing in the forground looking at the water as if they "Were" gonna go swimming till they saw all of the junk would be the icing on the cake.... just my .02
